From 2005-2009 I volunteered at Holland Bloorview. I started in the music therapy program, moved onto swim therapy, camps, and eventually found my way into the kindergarten class room, which I loved. I stopped once I became busy with my own children. In 2019 I walked back into the hospital as a parent when my son was in rehab. We were struggling with his new medical diagnosis, I was an absolute mess and in survival mode, but walking into a community I knew so well, with so many old friendly faces helped us adjust to our new normal. SickKids saved my son, but Holland Bloorview helped give him his life back. Thank you for all you do.
